“The decision to source cylinders from Victor is primarily a quality and service-related issue. We have been working with Victor for over ten years now. With previous suppliers, there were issues with late delivery, and cost, which forced us to look at alternative manufactures. We work closely with Victor to ensure we get what we need, and have no issues with pricing, delivery, or quality.
“We predominantly use non-standard cylinders, custom built, with a significant portion of those made from stainless steel. This is important due to the marine environment, but also for aesthetics that goes beyond the purely engineering and mechanical functionality of the product. From this point of view our equipment is right at the extreme end of the scale, so our partnership with Victor – and their ability to help with the ‘out-of-the-ordinary’ – is invaluable.
“It really is a collaborative effort; one cylinder development required a simple, non contact, indicator of cylinder position, mounted to the cylinder. This saves a lot of time and hassle for us, and is just one of the customised cylinders we have developed in conjunction with the Victor design and operations team.
