Snorkel is a global supplier of maintenance and construction aerial equipment, including MHPs (mobile hydraulic platforms or ‘cherry-pickers’), self-propelled articulating and telescoping booms, and self-propelled scissor lifts designed for slab to rough terrain surfaces.

For this reason, we were originally bringing the cylinders in from our parent company in the States. Then my predecessor approached Victor, who took one of the cylinders and designed a replica of it, to the same design and same build quality. And it’s not just what it looks like from the outside – it’s the quality of the materials and machining inside the cylinder that counts.
“So we now have a standardised design build, and can quickly and easily order new stock. They really go the extra mile – right down to painting the cylinders for us. This has streamlined the whole process at our end, saving us time. They also keep in close communication with us on the progress of our orders. I recently went for a tour through their factory and was really impressed. You could see the whole process – from the cutting of the raw materials through to testing.
